In His Name Human Resources provided the support, guidance, and encouragement I needed when I unexpectedly faced unemployment on the verge of my 60th birthday. Updating my resume and applying for jobs was not what I hoped for or expected at this season of life.
The team that helped me began by praying for me and reminding me of God’s abundant care for me. Then they helped with the practical steps to looking for new work. Along the way I learned about things that had changed since that last time I looked for work. They helped me work on creating an online profile on professional platforms like LinkedIn and updating my resume.
In His Name HR administered two assessments to help me think about the skills God has given me, the experiences He has provided, and what my best options for new work might be. They helped me consider possibilities in education, where I have spent most of my career, and they pointed me toward ideas outside of education.
It was a pleasure working with the staff at In His Name Human Resources. They demonstrated a strong commitment to helping me and expressed sincere concern for my well-being during this time of transition.
I am thrilled to report that after four months of unemployment, I have accepted a new job that begins with the start of the new school year. I will transition from Christian education back into public education. I already see evidence that this is exactly where God wants me to be. Waiting for God’s direction can be tough. I was reminded of His goodness during the wait by the support I received from In His Hands HR.
Psalm 62:1-2 reminds us of God’s abundant care for us. “For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken.”

In His Name HR has provided our staff with exceptional diversity, equity, and inclusion training that aligns with our Christian worldview and values. Using Biblical text as a foundation provides a greater understanding of the value of diversity, seeing others as equals, and not excluding anyone because they may look or sound different. I would recommend In His Name HR’s DEI training for all faith-based organizations.

Mark Griffin has supported ABWE in a variety of human resources capacities. His leadership in utilizing his team to analyze our benefit structure has been impressive, spawning a redesign that increased our range of benefits while producing partnerships that led to six figure annual premium reductions and overall seven-figure expense reductions in our annual benefit costs. In HIS Name HR designed a recruitment process that has remarkably impacted our hiring procedure. We have significantly decreased recruitment time while vastly improving our ability to reach and select prime, highly talented employees for our organization.

Kent Kiefer

“Mark took over as District HR Manager in our Novi, MI lab not long after we defeated the IUOE (Operating Engineers) in a supervised vote, clearly a sensitive time that required insight into the situation on the floor as well as an unrelenting eye to process, detail, and legal ramificaitons. He also covered our Canada Division at the same time, and thus had a foot in each country. With responsibility from Vancouver, BC to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and a post-union vote in Michigan, Mark had a wide ranging, highly demanding job. And I'd have Mark back in a heartbeat.”
