Jeannette Boca

Senior Content and Communications Partner

Jeannette Boca brings over 20 years of editorial experience in helping writers sharpen their voice and bring their work to life. A lifelong book lover, she started writing stories at just six years old, sparking a passion that has never left her. She went on to study English literature, with a minor in history, building the foundation for the thoughtful and engaging editor she is today.

Jeannette began her professional career editing for The Oxford Club, a financial publishing company based in Baltimore, Maryland, where she got almost 10 years of on-the-job training in how to truly reach people through the written word. That’s how she learned that while editorial knowledge is important… so is editorial wisdom in recognizing how to work with, through, and even around “good grammar” to present the most accurate, effective, and engaging copy possible.

Armed with that understanding, Jeannette went on to start her own business, Innovative Editing, LLC. There, she’s helped professionals construct compelling articles, blogs, and website content; authors strengthen their fiction and non-fiction manuscripts across a range of genres; and high school students stand out in their college application essays.

Over the years, she has also published 12 novels of her own, including the three-part historical fiction series, Founding America. Covering significant battles during the Revolutionary War and War of 1812 – the latter of which inspired “The Star-Spangled Banner,” our national anthem – these books seek to show how fascinating real history can be when given the chance.

Today, she lives with her husband and young daughter in York, Pennsylvania, staying blessed and busy in a thousand different ways.
